SATURDAY GAMES - January 25, 2025 |
7:00am
It's the Thunder and the Glory at 7am, sounds like an 80's metal band. Wel these hard rockin teams played to a 6-6 tie. Two goals in the final 90 seconds by Gary Cole and Ryan McDonough tied it for the Thunder to force OT, as the Glory choked away a sure win and took a tie.. Thursday Champ Ryan Caffarella had one goal, but aside from that he was as useful as Craig Perry. |
8:00am
Another game that went to OT. Both teams are looking to build off a week one win, as the Admirals got two late goals from CJ to force OT. It took just 10 seconds for Mike DeVincent to score the winner. Not sure how he had the energy after playing the last 7 minutes of the game. Both CJ and the better DeVincent finished with 4 goals on the day. Oh, and Mike Ashe had two assists. Nice to see the Devils win without Philbrook. |

9:00am
A pair of teams looking for their first win met at 9am. The Dragons fell behind early, but then found some offense, leading 7-5 after two. In the third they found the net 4 more times to skate away with an easy win. Chris Spuglio had 3 goals and didn't break a stick. Steve Salceda made his E debut. Colby finished with 5 goals in the loss. Everyone but new guy Jack Joyce and veteran defenseman Chris Muise played wll for the Surge. |
10:00am
A pair of bottom dwellers clashed at 10am, with the Monarchs getting a rare good performance from Joe Estrela and Jeremy Gallagher in a 7-4 win. Mahoney had his usual slate of goals, and even set up last round pick Jason Killroy for a goal. The Knights got 3 goals from Greg Good, and that mattered more than a win that they still are searching for. |

LOW ENGERY OF THE WEEK AWARD This week's low energy award of the week goes to Al Panico of the Dragons. Though his team won and beat Colby's Surge team, Colby still nominated Al for the Low Energy of the Week award. You'll have to check with Colby on why that is. |
